Find out about the buildings and places that have impacted the history of Oerle.

Oerle consists of two town centers: Kerkoerle and Zandoerle, both of which are included in the route, as well as the hamlets of Half Mile (Half Mijl) and Toterfout, known for the Bronze Age burial mounds.

The route takes you past the Brink of Zandoerle, with its Dingbank and the Sint Jan mill.

In Kerkoerle you can see place of the former dairy factory. A health centre is built there that has the same shape.

Sint Janstrossen – Saint John bouquets

The patron saint of Oerle is Saint John the Baptist. During his name festival on June 24, according to an old custom, many houses are still decorated with so called Sint Janstrossen – Saint John bouquets. The wildflower bunches are intended to avert all kinds of mischief, and bring good luck and good health.
