This route is on the west side of Veldhoven, and passes a number of interesting points: you will find beautiful Beech avenues, old burial mounds, a former fen and many birds, especially woodpeckers. Just notice the holes these ‘loggers’ have made in the trees along the paths. There used to be no forest here, but a large heathland, where the wind had free rein. You will pass the place where a mill used to be, past a row of burial mounds, and the highest point of Veldhoven.
